The Via dell'amore is open every day with the following hours:

February 15 – March 29 9:00–18:00 (last admission 17:30)
March 30th – May 31st: 9:00 – 20:00 (last admission 19:30)
June 1st – October 25th: 9:00 – 21:30 (last admission 21:00)

Residents of the Municipalities of Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso, former residents of the Municipality of Riomaggiore and their families, owners of second homes in the Municipality of Riomaggiore and their families can always access free of charge, without reservation and with entry in both directions.

The entry times are as follows:

February 15 – March 29: 7:30 – 18:00
March 30 - May 31: 7:30 – 20:00
June 1st - October 25th 7:30am - 1:00am

NB

For residents of the municipalities of Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso, access will be verified through the control of the identity document.

For second home owners, former residents of the Municipality of Riomaggiore and their families, entitlement to access will be verified through self-certification to be presented at the time of passage (form to be downloaded from the website of the Municipality of Riomaggiore) or with certification to be requested from the Municipality of Riomaggiore and with control of the identity document.

For residents of the province of La Spezia ( excluding the municipalities of Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Monterosso ) entry during visiting hours ( click here to check the opening hours ) is subject to the purchase of the Cinque Terre Card, under the conditions set for single tourists, while outside this time frame it is free, without reservation and accessible in both directions.

Entitlement to access during the free time slot will be verified by checking your identity document.

The Via dell'Amore can be accessed from Riomaggiore (on the left as you exit the station) and follow it in the direction of Manarola.

Entrance to the Via dell'Amore can be purchased exclusively through the purchase of the Cinque Terre Card Via dell'amore or as a supplement.

No, access to the Via dell'Amore is included in the Cinque Terre Card, it is not possible to purchase entry individually.
If you already have a Cinque Terre Card, it is possible to purchase the additional fee that will allow you access to the Via dell'Amore.

By purchasing the supplement on site, at the Cinque Terre National Park info points, from La Spezia to Levanto. At the time of entry you will have to show both tickets, which are nominative.
Yes, to guarantee entry, it is mandatory to book a date and time slot. Access to Via dell'Amore is limited to a maximum of 400 people per hour with 200 entries every 30 minutes.

The maximum travel time of the Via dell'Amore (900 meters) is 30 minutes, in order to allow access to the next slot.

Yes; a guide will be waiting for you immediately after the entrance gate of Via dell'Amore at the booked entry time. The service is free.
No. Access is one-way from Riomaggiore towards Manarola, except for specific categories indicated in the special concessions.
Sorry, tickets cannot be changed. We invite you to respect the entry time chosen at the time of purchase. However, in case of unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to access in the first available time slot compatible with the availability of seats.
Yes, the ticket is nominal, like the Cinque Terre Card, and cannot be transferred to third parties.
No, sorry. A refund will be provided only in the event of a yellow, red or orange weather alert being declared.

The Via dell'Amore supplement for tourists residing in the Cinque Terre and in the CETS facilities of the Cinque Terre National Park is €8 instead of €10.
Access is permitted in both directions during the booking time slot and with the same ticket after 5:00 pm, on the days the Cinque Terre card is valid.

Entitlement to access will be verified by checking the identity document and its correspondence with the name on the Cinque Terre Card.

The tourist in possession of the Tourist Card (Riomaggiore Guest card) must necessarily proceed with the purchase of the (discounted) entrance to the Via dell'amore with reservation; however, access is always permitted in both directions and outside the booking time slot for the entire duration of your stay.

Entitlement to access will be verified by checking the identity document and correspondence with the name shown on the Cinque Terre Card and on the resident tourist card.

Tourists in possession of a CETS (Cinque Terre National Park accommodation card) must necessarily purchase (discounted) entry to the Via dell'amore with a reservation.
However, access is permitted in both directions during the booking time slot and with the same ticket after the closing time for visits, on the days of validity of the Cinque Terre Card.

Entitlement to access will be verified by checking the identity document and its correspondence with the name on the Cinque Terre Card.

Disabled people are entitled to free entry. In order to benefit from the discount, it is necessary to show the documentation certifying the disability to the ticket control staff.

Entrance to the Castle of Riomaggiore does not require reservation and can be made during the validity period of the Cinque Terre Card purchased

 

The Castle is open every day, with the following times:

· from 15/02 to 30/03 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-16:00
